Layout UI & HTML

Build directly with the web. Native HTML, shared styles, and focused interactions give your standalone project a consistent design foundation.

A complete visual foundation

Use semantic HTML with Layout UI components, CSS utilities, icons, themes, and shared motion. Your content remains ordinary markup, with progressive enhancement for interactive controls.

You do not need React, Vue, or another application framework to use Layout UI. Start with a single page, compose reusable sections, or build a multipage site.

From a small page to a larger site

The optional Rust build discovers the components your pages use and assembles their required assets. Bundle, route, and shared-chunk modes let you choose how those assets are delivered.

Use the development server while building, then deploy the generated static files to a host such as Nginx or Apache. Rust runs the tooling; visitors receive HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Keep application choices explicit

Multipage navigation uses ordinary links. In an application you manage, initialize enhanced components after adding content and dispose them before removing it, following each component’s lifecycle API.

Layout UI does not provide an application router, reactive state engine, authentication service, or database. Choose those separately when your project needs them.

Start with your first page

Follow the Install guide for setup, then copy a working example from the component library. Add utilities and theme settings as your design takes shape.
